China's newsprint production in December rose 7.4% on year
Moscow. Jan 21, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. China's newsprint output reached 440,000 metric tons in December, up 7.4% from a year earlier. Total production for the full year fell 7.7% to 4.9 million tons, the National Bureau of Statistics said, as Dow Jones informed Lesprom Network.
Paper and paper board production in December rose 26% from a year earlier to 9.1 million tons. In 2009, paper and paper board output rose 12% to 93.89 million tons.
Plywood output in December rose 28% to 14.46 million cubic meters. Production during 2009 was up 17% to 137.5 million cubic meters.
