The communication structure and corresponding responsibilities at Pfleiderer AG and its Business Center Western Europe have been redefined with immediate effect, Wood Panels Online reported. Business Center Western Europe now has its own media contact person: Emerenz Magerl. She is responsible for press relations for the Business Center as well as for its business units, the subsidiaries Duropal, Kunz, Pfleiderer Industrie, Thermopal and Wodego.
To provide a clearer overview, the contact persons’ respective areas of responsibility are listed below. Emerenz Magerl (29) was a trainee in the Corporate Communication department of Pfleiderer AG from May 2008 until May 2009. Following her studies of business administration and the arts, Mrs. Magerl worked as a copy editor for a regional newspaper as well as for book and magazine publishers in the fields of architecture, construction, building trades, furniture and interiors.
As of June 2009, Markus Schätzle (42) was appointed Head of Global Marketing & PR at the Pfleiderer subsidiary Pergo. Mr. Schätzle joined the leading producer of laminate flooring as a product manager with marketing responsibility for the region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland in December 2008. He will have operating responsibility for marketing and public relations in this region also in his new function. Markus Schätzle graduated in business administration, and before joining Pergo he held a similar position for seven years at Witex, a producer of floor-coverings.
