Moscow. Apr 03, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. UPM Raflatac said that it has opened its new $100 million pressure sensitive labelstock manufacturing facility in Dixon, Illinois—about 100 miles west of Chicago. "Our mission is to continuously develop our product offerings and service concepts and provide substantial value to our label printer customers. The Dixon factory is one of the key strategic investments we have made to increase our capabilities and build capacity in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region," said Heikki Pikkarainen, president of UPM Raflatac. UPM Raflatac also has an RFID tag and inlay plant in Fletcher, North Carolina. The Dixon facility is part of a nearly $270 million worldwide investment program, UPM said. UPM Raflatac is a globally leading supplier of pressure sensitive labelstock and manufacturer of RFID (radio frequency identification) tags and inlays. |
